Dr. Corey Wiggins

Dr. Corey Wiggins recently served as federal co-chairman for the Delta Regional Authority, concluding his duties to the agency on May 29, 2026.

He was nominated by 45th President Joseph R. Biden to serve as the fourth federal co-chairman for the DRA on Dec. 15, 2021, and was confirmed unanimously by the U.S. Senate on March 11, 2022.

For four years, Dr. Wiggins helped position the DRA as a catalyst for meaningful, community-driven change. By investing more than $300 million across 627 projects—and leveraging nearly $345 million in additional funding—his leadership expanded opportunity and strengthened communities across the DRA’s eight-state service region. These investments contributed to more than 44,000 jobs created or retained, nearly 22,000 individuals trained, and more than 280,000 families positively impacted. His tenure reflects a steadfast commitment to ensuring communities across the Delta have the resources, partnerships and capacity needed to build stronger, more resilient economies.
